The Rietzuivering (reed water purification complex) is located between the dike and the Marnewaard military training area. A beautiful area with young vegetation, reed beds and lakes. Birds that have been observed in the area include: Guarda-rios-comum, Torcicolo, Mergulhão-pequeno, Dom-fafe, Felosa-bilistada, Pintarroxo-carmíneo, Papa-figos, Felosa-palustre and Felosa-icterina.
