A beautiful bird hide in a beautiful natural environment next to a lake with different types of birds. Among the birds you can see are Maçarico-real, Guarda-rios-comum, Maçarico-de-bico-direito, Pássaro-bique-bique, Garça-branca-grande, papa-amoras-cinzento, Tordeia, Águia-d'asa-redonda, Abibe-comum and Pintarroxo-de-queixo-preto. The bird images on the inside of this cabin help the novice bird watcher to identify many bird species.

You can park your car at Nijmansedijk, between Stadsedijk and Speelmansstraat. Behind the barrier you follow the path towards the bird hide. You can also get to the bird hide by bike.

When you visit this bird hide you can combine this with a nice walk of Het Boelekeerlspad, an initiative of local residents. This trail is approximately 6 km long and takes you along waterways, including the Halsche Vloed, pools, farmlands, old and newly constructed nature. See the link below.
