Most of the area of Kralingse Bos consists of forest. But there are also beautiful open spaces with a high biodiversity. The forest is closely connected with the lake Kralingse Plas where you can encounter many water birds such as Mergulhão-pequeno, Andorinha-do-mar-comum and much more. In the forest area you can also find a wide variety of birds. For example Águia-d'asa-redonda, Gavião da Europa, Bufo-pequeno, Pica-pau-malhado-grande and Trepadeira-comum.

Nederlands: Het Kralingse Bos bijna in het centrum van Rotterdam is leuk omdat er echt rekening wordt gehouden met de natuur. En dat kan de stad goed gebruiken. Dit gebied is de juiste plek als je snel de stad wilt verlaten en wat rust zoekt. Het gebied bestaat veel al uit bos. Maar ook zijn er mooie open plekken wat de biodiversiteit ten goede komt. Het staat nauw in verbinding met de Kralingse Plas waar je veel watervogels kunt tegen komen zoals: Mergulhão-pequeno, Andorinha-do-mar-comum en veel meer. In het bosgebied kun je ook een breed scala aan vogels vinden. Denk bijvoorbeeld aan: Águia-d'asa-redonda, Gavião da Europa, Bufo-pequeno, Pica-pau-malhado-grande en Trepadeira-comum. Dus het Kralingse Bos is zeker een bezoekje waard als je in de buurt bent.

The area is easily accessible by public transport, car or bicycle. There are several places where you can park, including the Schone Lei restaurant and directly in the area. With public transport you can reach the area by metro or tram. The Kralingse Bos is best explored on foot or by bike. There are many different paved paths that run right through the area. There are also jetties through which you can walk on the water and get close to various water birds with a view over the skyline of Rotterdam.

Nederlands: Het gebied is zowel goed te bereiken met het openbaar vervoer, auto of fiets. Er zijn meerdere plekken waar je kunt parkeren waaronder bij het restaurant de Schone Lei en meteen in het gebied zit. Met het openbaar vervoer kun je het gebied bereiken met metro of tram. Het Kralingse Bos is het best te verkennen te voet of fiets. Er zijn veel verschillende verharde paden die dwars door het gebied lopen. Ook zijn er steigers waardoor u over het water kunt lopen en dichtbij diverse watervogels kunt komen met daarbij uitzicht over de skyline van Rotterdam.
