The Kapellebos owes its name to the St. Augustine Chapel that is said to have stood there from 1548 to 1758. In the 18th century, a number of estates south of Vught were created through reclamation. The walk goes through the Jagershagen estate with a beautiful alternation of semi-open landscape and old deciduous forest. Birds you may encounter along the way include Chapim-de-poupa, Gaio-comum, Dom-fafe, Bico-grossudo, Trepadeira-azul, Papa-moscas-preto, Toutinegra-de-barrette-preto, Coruja-do-mato, Águia-d'asa-redonda and five species of woodpecker.

Nederlands: Het Kapellebos dankt zijn naam aan de St. Augustinuskapel die daar van 1548 tot 1758 gestaan zou hebben. In de 18e eeuw zijn door ontginning een aantal landgoederen ten zuiden van Vught aangelegd. De wandeling gaat over landgoed Jagershagen met een fraaie afwisseling van halfopen landschap en oud loofbos. Vogels die je onderweg kunt tegenkomen zijn onder meer Chapim-de-poupa, Gaio-comum, Dom-fafe, Bico-grossudo, Trepadeira-azul, Papa-moscas-preto, Toutinegra-de-barrette-preto, Coruja-do-mato, Águia-d'asa-redonda en vijf soorten spechten.

The Kapellebos borders the south of the town of Vught. You can start the route at various places. For example, in the parking lot of Sportpark Bergenshuizen (De Kikvorsch). Click on the P in the map for directions. Then walk from the parking lot towards the Bergenshuizenseweg. The map suggests a circular walk of 8 km, which can easily be shortened to a shorter walk.

Nederlands: Het Kapellebos grenst aan de zuidkant van Vught. Je kunt de route op diverse plaatsen starten. Bijvoorbeeld op het parkeerterrein van Sportpark Bergenshuizen (De Kikvorsch). Klik op de P in de kaart voor een routebeschrijving. Loop vervolgens vanaf de parkeerplaats richting de Bergenshuizenseweg. Op de kaart staat een suggestie van een rondwandeling van 8 km aangegeven, die gemakkelijk is in te korten tot een kortere wandeling.
