The Corversbos forest houses bird species that would be expected in a forest. The Açor, along with Águia-d'asa-redonda and Gavião da Europa are the birds of prey that are common here and at night the Coruja-do-mato can be heard. The Corversbos also houses passerines like Tordo-comum and Papa-moscas-preto and there are also multiple species of woodpecker, such as Pica-pau-malhado-grande and Pica-pau-preto. Its main attraction however are the open fields in the middle of the forest. These fields are a good spot to watch songbird migration, especially in autumn. Species like Tordo-zornal and Tordo-ruivo-comum are most numerous then.

Nederlands: Dit kleine bos, vlakbij landgoed Gooilust, lijkt onopvallend. Maar door de open velden midden in het bos, vind je er meer vogels dan je op het eerste gezicht zou denken. Het Corversbos heeft vogelsoorten die je in een bos kunt verwachten, zoals Açor, Águia-d'asa-redonda en Gavião da Europa. 's Nachts is de Coruja-do-mato te horen. Het Corversbos herbergt ook zangvogels zoals Tordo-comum en Papa-moscas-preto en er zijn ook meerdere soorten spechten, zoals Pica-pau-malhado-grande en Pica-pau-preto. De belangrijkste attractie zijn echter de open velden midden in het bos. Deze velden zijn een goede plek om de migratie van zangvogels te bekijken, vooral in de herfst. Soorten als Tordo-zornal en Tordo-ruivo-comum zijn dan het talrijkst.

There is parking space for cars at the graveyard closeby. Click on the P in the map for directions. You can't bike in most parts of the forest, so best to explore on foot.
