This walk runs along the Pieterbuurdermaar and starts at a small grove, with a chance of seeing Tentilhão-montês, Corvo-marinho-de-faces-brancas, Felosa-icterina and Bufo-pequeno. Species of tits and finches, and Pombo-torcaz, melro and Pica-pau-malhado-grande are always present. Various types of seagulls can be seen at the Seal Center (Zeehondencentrum). Just outside the village, next to the waterfront you can observe Felosa-dos-juncos and rouxinol-dos-caniços. Andorinha-do-mar-comum and Águia-d'asa-redonda often fly over, with Codorniz, Ostraceiro and alvéola-amarela often in the meadows.

Nederlands: De wandeling Buitengebied Pieterburen loopt langs de Pieterbuurdermaar en begint bij een kleine bosschage, met kans op Tentilhão-montês, Corvo-marinho-de-faces-brancas, Felosa-icterina en Bufo-pequeno. Soorten mezen en vinken zijn net als de Pombo-torcaz, melro en Pica-pau-malhado-grande altijd aanwezig. Bij het Zeehondencentrum zijn er verschillende soorten meeuwen te zien.
