Brabantse Wal is very quiet with very few visitors, which is rare in the Netherlands. Combined with an array of good forest species makes this an ideal location for a quiet spring walk. Pica-pau-preto and Pica-pau-malhado-pequeno are interesting species that can be encountered. Felosa-assobiadeira, Cruza-bico-comum, Rabirruivo-de-testa-branca and Papa-moscas-cinzento can be found in the forests. Noitibó da Europa can be encountered during the summer on the heaths.

Nederlands: De Brabantse Wal is een onderschat gebied door Nederlandse vogelaars. Zwarte spechten en andere bossoorten zijn gemakkelijk te vinden. Het is er erg rustig met weinig bezoekers, wat zeldzaam is in Nederland. In combinatie met een scala aan goede bossoorten is dit een ideale locatie voor een rustige lentewandeling. Pica-pau-preto en Pica-pau-malhado-pequeno zijn interessante soorten die kunnen worden aangetroffen. Felosa-assobiadeira, Cruza-bico-comum, Rabirruivo-de-testa-branca en Papa-moscas-cinzento zijn te vinden in de bossen. Noitibó da Europa kun je in de zomer tegenkomen op de heide.

This area is best explored by foot or bike. Parking can be done at Abdijlaan 43, Ossendrecht, from there some routes go into the forested area. The suggested walking route on the Birdingplaces-map is about 9 km.
