The small scale fields around the river Massa and the river itself are a magnet for migrating birds but also hold many breeding birds. A good place to see (or hear) Picanco de barrete preto, Rabirruivo de Moussier, Rouxinol-comum, Cartaxo-comum, Fuinha-dos-juncos, Rola-comum, Abelharuco-comum and Codorniz in the fields. Along the river you can see Guarda-rios-comum, alvéola-amarela, Garça-branca-pequena, Pato-ferrugíneo, Pardilheira, Mergulhão-pequeno, Andorinha-dos-charcos and if you are lucky the bird for which this whole area of Souss Massa National Park is protected: the Íbis-calva.

Drive to the village of Agbalou and you will find the bridge on the northwest side of the village. Click on the P in the map to get directions. You can observe the birds from the bridge or walk the small paths between the agricultural fields.
