Vecchie Saline are the old saltworks of Olbia. You can walk along a string of ponds and walk along to Baia Turchese (separate entry also described on Birdingplaces). Among the birds you can see are Petinha-dos-prados, Flamingo-comum, Garça-branca-grande, Garça-branca-pequena, Garça-real, Garca-vaqueira, Escrevedeira-de-garganta-preta, Corvo-marinho-de-faces-brancas, Maçarico-real, Pato-branco, Pato-trombeteiro, Pernilongo, Alvéola-cinzenta and Perna-verde-comum.

There are several car parks near the ponds (for the beaches which border all the ponds). There are different access routes Click on a P in the map to get directions to thast P. Binoculars and telescopes essential. During the rainy seasons, the access roads have significant potholes and flooded parts (boots and 4x4).
