Vasche dell'ex Zuccherificio di Crevalcore is a nature reserve created around the former settling tanks of an old sugar plant that is closed since 1985. In the pools, the depth of the water varies from a few centimeters to almost two meters. The site is partially visitable and has 3 bird hides from which even very shy birds can be spotted at close range. For example birds that live in the reeds such as Frango-d'água and Chapim-de-faces-pretas. Even an untrained eye can easily spot flocks of Pernilongo, Marreco and Alfaiate. Furthermore, from the hides you can easily see the Cegonha-branca nest, which has been permanently occupied for over 30 years. There are also numerous nesting birds of prey such as peneireiro-de-dorso-malhado / peneireiro, Águia-d'asa-redonda and Tartaranhão-ruivo-dos-pauis.

Italiano: Area di 22 ettari (ma visitabili solo in parte) attrezzata con 3 capanni per il birdwatching gestita dalla rete Natura 2000 e con molti pannelli informativi. Si possono avvistare a distanza ravvicinata anche volatili molto schivi come quelli che vivono nei canneti: per esempio il Frango-d'água e il Chapim-de-faces-pretas. Anche un occhio inesperto può scorgere senza problemi stormi di Pernilongo, Marreco e Alfaiate. In più dai capanni si può vedere benissimo il nido di Cegonha-branca , ormai occupato in pianta stabile da oltre 30 anni. Sono inoltre presenti numerosi rapaci nidificanti quali peneireiro-de-dorso-malhado / peneireiro, Águia-d'asa-redonda e Tartaranhão-ruivo-dos-pauis.

Vasche dell'ex Zuccherificio di Crevalcore is located just outside the town of Crevalcore, from which it can be reached by car in a matter of minutes. There is no real parking. To enter you have to go through a gate with an information panel and walk a few meters on a gravel path. After which you reach the real reserve. The area is accessible by bicycle, on foot and even in a wheelchair.

Italiano: L'oasi si trova appena fuori dall'abitato di Crevalcore, dalla quale si raggiunge in macchina in una manciata di minuti. Non c'è un vero e proprio parcheggio. Per entrare bisogna attraversare un cancello con un pannello informativo e percorrere alcuni metri su una sytrada ghiaiosa. Dopo di che si raggiunge la vera e propria oasi, accessibile in bicicletta, a piedi e anche in sedia a rotelle.
