Descrição
A recently established protected area at an altitude of 1800 m above the sea level with an amazing view on the surrounding Alps (provided that you can exclude the horrific buildings of Passo Tonale). There is an almost flat path along a mountain stream leading to a hut with some information about the area and the chance to complete a circular route (return on an unpaved road across the forest).
A good place for mountain passerines like pintarroxo-pequeno, Cruza-bico-comum and Pintarroxo-comum, as well as forest species like Chapim-de-poupa and Trepadeira-do-bosque. Other species include Tordo-zornal, Picanço-de-dorso-ruivo and Alvéola-cinzenta. Good numbers of migratory Sylvia warblers in autumn.

Acesso
Parking in Passo Tonale, near the horrific towers (impossible to miss). Then the area is best explored on foot - the path along the stream may be muddy, so waterproof shoes are the safest choice. The circular trail of 4 km includes some slope (on unpaved, wide road).
