Stagno della Caffarella is a wetland in Parco della Caffarella, a large city park of 132 hectares in Rome. The pond and the surrounding wetland attract birds like Garça-real, Garça-branca-pequena, Garca-vaqueira, Socó-taquari, Mergulhão-pequeno, Galeirão-comum, Poupa, Fuinha-dos-juncos, Rouxinol-comum, Tartaranhão-ruivo-dos-pauis and Guarda-rios-comum. The area has an observation hide and is easy to reach.

Parco della Caffarella is located in the southern part of Rome, between the Via Appia Antica and Via Latina. I recommend parking on the Via Appia and entering through the main gate of the Caffarella. Public Transport: metro Line A, station Furio Camillo (1). From there it is a 2 km walk to the pond.
