The Vedrette di Ries-Aurina nature park boasts the highest number of glaciers of all protected areas in South Tyrol and is characterised by its richness in waters. Mountain streams, mountain lakes and impressive waterfalls characterise the natural landscape of this park. Possibility of taking many walks with excellent birding along the way. Among the birds you can encounter are Águia-real, Bufo-real, Pica-pau-malhado-grande, Pica-pau-cinzento, Pica-pau-preto, Cruza-bico-comum, Chapim-preto, Trepadeira-dos-muros, Pardal-alpino, Alvéola-cinzenta, Corvo and Trepadeira-azul.
