Parco Comunale Bosco del Gerbasso is located within a large meander of the Po. A nice example of ecological restoration. They are aiming to recreate the ancient floodplain forest that once covered the Po Valley. On one side a sand extraction site, on the other side a beautiful nature reserve. Among the birds you can encounter are Abelharuco-comum, Rola-comum, Garça-pequena, Maçarico-das-rochas, Felosa-palustre, Felosa-poliglota, Papa-moscas-cinzento, Garça-branca-pequena, Mergulhão-pequeno, Mergulhão-de-pescoço-preto and Papa-figos.

Parco Comunale Bosco del Gerbasso is located near Carmagnola. The area is indicated by signs, parking is available next to the entrance to the sand extraction site. Press P on the map for directions to the parking spot.
