Langness has good seawatch viewpoints north and south. The east coast is rocky and good for Gralha-de-bico-vermelho, Melro-de-peito-branco, Coruja-do-nabal, coruja-da-igreja / coruja-das-torres and Cartaxo-comum. The west coast has exposed mud and seaweed-strewn rock at low tide frequented by herons, egrets, Ostraceiro, Pato-branco, Pilrito-escuro, Rola-do-mar and Maçarico-real. Rarities seen here include Calhandra-comum, Macarico de rabadilha branca and Rola-comum.

Isle of Man can be visited by ferry from Liverpoool, Heysham, Belfast or Dublin, or by air from several airports. Car park at Derbyhaven which is on a regular bus route, then short walk across to Langness. Or park on the island near the lighthouse. Be aware there is a golf course; dont obstruct play or become an accidental target.
