Descrição
Dundalk Bay is a large exposed estuary on the east coast of Ireland. The inner bay is shallow, sandy and intertidal, though it slopes into a deeper area 2 km from the transitional water boundary. As many as 20,000 birds regularly feed here and the site is of national and international importance for bird populations, and has been designated as a Ramsar site. Seabank is a nice point on Dundalk Bay to look out for waders and other seabirds. Among the birds you can see here are: Maçarico-real, Maçarico-de-bico-direito, Pilrito-comum, Seixoeira, Ostraceiro, Garça-branca-pequena, Garça-real, falcão-peregrino, peneireiro-de-dorso-malhado / peneireiro, Petinha-dos-prados, Cartaxo-comum and Chasco-cinzento.
