Designed to replicate various ecosystems, the National Botanical Garden of Iran features forests, wetlands, and meadows that attract a wide range of bird species. One of the ponds is a good place to see Socó-taquari, Papa-ratos, Guarda-rios-comum and Guincho-comum. During the spring you can find Gavião-shikra, Papa-figos and different migrating warblers such as Toutinegra-de-barrette-preto and Felosa-pálida. In the winter, thrushes come to the garden, including Tordo-comum, Tordo-preto and Tordo-ruivo-comum.

The National Botanical Garden of Iran is situated just a few kilometers west of Tehran, making it easily accessible by metro. To get there, take the Tehran-Karaj Metro and exit at Iran-Khodro Station. From the station, you can either walk for about 35 minutes or take a taxi for a quicker trip. Exploring the entire garden on foot takes approximately 2 to 3 hours, allowing you to fully enjoy its diverse landscapes and rich biodiversity.
