Ananthagiri Hills Forest has moist deciduous forests, plantations, and rocky streams. You can spot birds like Orange-headed Thrush, Indian Pitta, Indian Paradise-Flycatcher, Asian Koel, Brown Fish-Owl and more. In winter, warblers, migratory eagles and thrushes are common. The peaceful forest trails and bird variety make it a lovely place to visit.

Ananthagiri Hills Forest is located in the Vikarabad District, about 80 km from Hyderabad. Easily reachable by car, bus or train. Parking is available near the forest trails. The area is best explored on foot. A few hours or half-day trip is ideal, and early morning visits give the best sightings.
