Örfirisey is a reliable spot to observe the birdlife of the Reykjavík bay. Especially in the colder times of the year. Bringing your telescope, a scan of the bay and horizon might produce birds like Pato-de-cauda-afilada, Corvo-marinho-de-crista, Ganso-patola, Torda-anã, Pato-arlequim and Merganso-de-poupa. You might also see Mobêlha-pequena and Mobêlha-grande. Örfirsey has also hosted a male negrola-d'asa-branca-americana every winter since 2014, proving it as a reliable spot for this vagrant. Overhead, Escrevedeira-das-neves might pass, and along the rocks there might be Arau-d'asa-branca.
