The boat trip in the Steingrímsfjörður starts with sailing around of the island of Grímsey. On the island you can see colonies of Torda-mergulheira, Corvo-marinho-de-crista, Arau-comum and Gaivota-tridáctila as well as thousands of Papagaio-do-mar flying overhead. Also good chance to see Fulmar-glacial, Arau-d'asa-branca, Eider-edredão, Andorinha-do-mar-árctica, Mobêlha-grande and Mobêlha-pequena. On a guided walk you can hike up to the lighthouse. With an estimated breeding colony of around 60,000 Papagaio-do-mar, this is one of the few tours in Iceland where you actually get to walk the island and get a close look at the birds.

By boat from Drangsnes Harbour. Click on the P in the map for directions to the harbour. The price for a 3 hour boat trip is about 65 Euro per adult. All tours are weather dependent. Dress warmly. Hiking shoes are recommended. For departure times and boat tickets see the link below.
