This area is also home to water and shore birds especially in the migration time. The most valuable part of the Böddi-szék is the central 250 ha area, which used to be a confluent lake basin. The lake has a very fluctuating water regime. After being grazed, a rich bird fauna occupied it; 154 species have so far been recorded, out of which 52 also breed here. Among the birds you can see here are Borrelho-de-coleira-interrompida, Alfaiate, Alcaravão, Rolieiro-comum, Abelharuco-comum, Falcão-de-pés-vermelhos, Tartaranhão-ruivo-dos-pauis, Abetouro-comum, Pernilongo and Abetarda-comum. There is a high observation tower from where you have a great overview of the area (see the map).
