Descrição
The road towards Makara is a great route to search for many typical inland breeding species that inhabit the drier parts of the island, like Perdiz-chukar, Chasco-ruivo and Trepadeira-rupestre. The rocky outcrops are a great spot for Melro-azul and Escrevedeira-cinzenta. The small scattered bushes are good for migrating Cartaxo-nortenho, Chasco-cinzento and Cartaxo-comum.
Further down the road, the road lies adjacent to a shallow valley with scattered trees, and several small groves. These areas are great for migrants, like Abelharuco-comum, Poupa, shrikes, warblers, swallows, swifts and flycatchers.
