Descrição
Viewpoint above the Bergener See. The dry lake originated from lignite extraction, typical for the region. After a severe landslide, the lake lost a lot of water and was abondoned for the next years, until now. There is even a visible half-way sunken red truck in the lake, where the driver had to be rescued by helicopter after the landslide. As bad as this landslide was, it created a special open habitat. The place is known as the best spot for watching wild wolves. For birding, this landscape provides habitat for Noitibó da Europa, Picanço-de-dorso-ruivo, Pisco-de-peito-azul and common crane. At dusk, multiple Noitibó da Europa can fly above your head.
