Descrição
The 53 hectare Scheerweiher wetland was created as a fish pond by damming the Onolzbach and the Hohenmühlbach. Its water was used to operate the Scheermühle (mill) until 1930. The pond developed into a beautiful nature reserve. The very shallow pond is surrounded by reed beds and wet meadows. More than sixty species of birds breed in the area, including Narceja-comum, Frango-d'água and Felosa-dos-juncos. Notable guests are Abibe-comum, Milhafre-real and Águia-pesqueira.
