Due to the mixture of forest and water, other species also live there in smaller numbers, such as Pica-pau-malhado-grande, Chapim-azul, chapim-real, Tentilhão-comum, Guarda-rios-comum, Garça-real, Felosa-comum, Corvo-marinho-de-faces-brancas and many more.
Sometimes rare species are also found there.

The Oelbach ponds are located in the Bochum district of Querenburg, very close to the Ruhr University and the Kemnader See. You can park near the ponds. From the parking you can explore the area on foot or bike.
