NSG Versunken Bokelt consists of a small lake with some gravel banks, a little sandcliff and a small forested area. You can find a nicely maintained hide on the north-western side of the lake with a good view on the whole area. During winter it is a nice spot to see migratory arctic birds like Merganso-grande, Pato-branco, etc. In spring you can encounter breeding birds like Borrelho-pequeno-de-coleira, Guarda-rios-comum and more.

NSG Versunken Bokelt is located just east of the village of Rhede. The bird hide is easily accessible via a short gravel road right a the south point of the bridge over the B67. Press P on the map for directions.
