Descrição
The nature reserve of Rümlandteich und Methorstteich is a beautiful area to observe water and forest bird species. You can make larger and smaller walks via hiking trails. Both ponds are drained temporarily (especially in autumn/winter) and then offer particularly interesting observation opportunities (wading birds, wintering Petinha-ribeirinha). Águia-rabalva breed here and can be observed regularly. Abetouro-comum occasionally call in the reed belt of the Rümlandteich. In the adjacent forest areas, all species of woodpecker are found ( Pica-pau-preto, Pica-pau-verde, Pica-pau-malhado-grande, Pica-pau-mediano and Pica-pau-malhado-pequeno), as well as Bufo-real, Ógea, Bútio-vespeiro, Papa-moscas-preto and, in some years, Papa-moscas-pequeno. In the winter months, many Cisne-bravo often stay here during the day. Both bodies of water are also home to 200 Cisne-bravo and Cisne-pequeno and up to 800 Ganso-grande-de-testa-branca and Tundra Bean Goose. In the adjacent grassland you can observe Picanço-grande, Tartaranhão-azulado and many geese in winter.
