The Mühlfeldsee is the artificial lake of the gravel pit Kiessandtagebau Löbnitz. The area hosts a variety of bird species. Among those are a large colony of Guincho-comum , a colony of Garça-real and other species such as Gaivota-de-cabeça-preta , Gaivota-parda , Gaivota-de-patas-amarelas , Pato-de-bico-vermelho and Chapim-de-faces-pretas.

Acesso
The Mühlfeldsee is located directly south of the town of Löbnitz. The lake is best accessed from the east. There is also a possibility to access it from the north, but it is through a gated holiday home complex.
To my knowledge, it isn't feasible to walk or bike a circular path, partly because of the Baustoffwerk Löbnitz in the southwest still being active.
