The lookout from the Moorochse tower is ideal in the morning, as from midday onwards there is backlighting and therefore reflections in the water. Guarda-rios-comum regularly hunt here and the large number of Corvo-marinho-de-faces-brancas make them a popular hunting target for Águia-rabalva. Other birds you can encounter are Grou-comum, Frisada, alvéola-branca, Garça-branca-grande, Pato-real, Frango-d'água, Galinha-d'água, Cisne-vulgar and Mergulhão-pequeno.

The Moorochse observation tower is situated on the banks of the lake Plauer See, 9 km north of the town of Plau am See. Park at the nature center Karower Meiler. Press P on the map for directions. From the parking it is 1.7 km on foot or by bike to the observation tower.
