Descrição
The Meiner Stapelteiche area consists of several small ponds with extensive reed beds and shoreline areas, as well as open water and a small wooded area. This structure offers good conditions for a variety of bird species.
Waterfowl such as Cisne-vulgar, Pato-real, Marrequinha-comum, Pato-trombeteiro, Ganso-comum, Pato-branco and other water birds can be well observed. Also waders like Maçarico-de-bico-direito, Perna-verde-comum and Pássaro-bique-bique use the area as a rest area. The large reedbeds are suitable for species such as Escrevedeira-dos-caniços and Pisco-de-peito-azul. During migration, the area is attractive to migratory birds. Birds of prey such as Águia-d'asa-redonda or Milhafre-real frequently circle over the surrounding fields and meadows.
