The Fish Ponds offer a nice walk between the ponds. Much of the ponds are shielded by reedbeds with Chapim-de-bigode and Chapim-de-faces-pretas and other reedbed birds. The hides offer a look onto the water, where you might see Marrequinha-comum, Zarro-negrinha, Zarro-castanho , Mergulhão-de-crista etc. Often there are Águia-rabalva in the trees around the ponds. There is a huge resting area for migrating Grou-comum just behind the ponds. That area is off limits, but huge amounts of Grou-comum flies over the ponds at the right time in autumn.
