Descrição
The Leipheimer Moos is a beautiful moorland with wide areas for Tartaranhão-ruivo-dos-pauis as well as the rare Codornizão, alvéola-amarela, Felosa-malhada and migratory Petinha-dos-prados. In the reed areas north of the border ditch Pisco-de-peito-azul likes to sing, in the cattle pastures Cartaxo-comum and along the boardwalk circuit (the boardwalk itself is unfortunately closed) Torcicolo, Rouxinol-comum, Narceja-comum, Abibe-comum, Papa-amoras-comum, Cuco-canoro, Faisão and Pica-pau-preto can be heard or seen.
Also worth a visit in autumn/winter when there are Tartaranhão-azulado, Picanço-grande, Coruja-do-nabal, Ganso-grande-de-testa-branca and Grou-comum.

The Leipheimer Moos is located in north of the town of Günzburg. The area is perfect to explore by bike and on foot. You can park your car south of the area at the Herdweg parking area in Leipheim. Click on the P in the map for directions to the parking. The Herdweg area provides convenient access to the moor and its hiking trails.
