Langer See is decent for waterbirds and birds that rely on water. Spring is the best time to visit, since you'll want to see rouxinol-dos-caniços and Escrevedeira-dos-caniços. Despite being a park with many people, Galinha-d'água are very common, and will show up in groups to forage right next to the path. This makes Langer See a pretty good place for Galinha-d'água photography. Mergulhão-de-crista are also relatively common, and you may be able to spot them with chicks during the correct season. Listen for rouxinol-dos-caniços, they're easier to hear than see, and watch for Pato-real, Ganso-comum, and Galeirão-comum.

Langer See is located in Böblingen. You can park on the street near the bridge. Press P on the map for directions. Then cross the bridge to get to the other side, where Galinha-d'água are oftentimes easily spotted. It is easy to walk on foot (the circular walk is about 2 km). The area can be explored relatively quickly, and so would make a good 'lunchbreak location'.
