Among the birds you can encounter in the area are alvéola-branca, Pato-real, Andorinha-das-chaminés, Cisne-vulgar, Merganso-grande, Pato-de-bico-vermelho, Mergulhão-de-crista, Toutinegra-de-barrette-preto and Pato-olho-d'ouro. Nice view especially in the evening with the sun going down.
