The Kleine Lagune Dossenheim may not be very big, but it is all the more special for that. A beaver dam has dammed the stream that flows here, creating a body of water with mud flats. In addition to birds, many amphibians can also be observed here.
Of particular interest from an ornithological perspective are the waders that rest here during migration, such as the Perna-verde-comum, Pássaro-bique-bique and Maçarico-bastardo. However, the Borrelho-pequeno-de-coleira, Perna-vermelha-comum, Abibe-comum and other waders are also regularly observed. Of course, the Garça-branca-grande and Garça-real can also be seen here. More rarely, a Garça-roxa also wanders here.
