Descrição
Jröne Meerke (little green sea) is a small park with a pond at the north-western edge of the city of Neuss. It contains the only Western European colony of Ganso-das-neves. Depending on the season there are also numerous other waterfowl, such as Zarro-negrinha, Pato-real, Frisada, Mergulhão-pequeno, Corvo-marinho-de-faces-brancas, Galinha-d'água or Galeirão-comum. There are many trees and a small forest in the park that host numerous songbirds, including Tordo-comum, Tordeia, Trepadeira-azul, Tentilhão-comum, Pintassilgo, Verdilhão-comum, Pisco-de-peito-ruivo, Chapim-azul, chapim-real and many more. If you want to see the Ganso-das-neves, you should come in the early morning or before sunset as the geese often go out to the surrounding fields for feeding.
