Descrição
The Hollerner See is a 30-hectare quarry lake that was created on the site of a former gravel pit. Although the lake was only completed in 2019 and there are many bathers in the summer, many species of birds have settled there. Different species of ducks, Mergulhão-de-crista, Mergulhão-pequeno and Ganso-comum can be found on the lake. The geese use the lake as a breeding and moulting ground.
In spring and summer Rouxinol-grande-dos-caniços, rouxinol-dos-caniços, Escrevedeira-dos-caniços and Garça-pequena breed in the reeds on the shore. Borrelho-pequeno-de-coleira and Maçarico-das-rochas can often be seen on the small island. In the area around the lake you can see Faisão, Perdiz-cinzenta, Pica-pau-verde and Escrevedeira-amarela all year round. Felosa-palustre, Felosa-icterina, Papa-amoras-comum and Felosa-musical in the summer months.
