The Hainberg is an open area, but also partly covered with forest. Bird watching here is most worthwhile in summer, when Picanço-de-dorso-ruivo, Papa-figos, Melro-d'água, Pica-pau-mediano, Pica-pau-preto, Rabirruivo-de-testa-branca and Torcicolo can be seen. At the small pond and the river you can watch Guarda-rios-comum as well as geese, ducks and Corvo-marinho-de-faces-brancas in the forest. And of course other typical forest birds.
