The Fuelbecker Talsperre is home to various waterfowl and woodland species. There are not usually great numbers of birds present on the reservoir itself, but with a bit of patience it is usually possible to see Zarro-negrinha, Pato-real, Pato-mandarim and Corvo-marinho-de-faces-brancas.
The woodland surrounding the reservoir is richer in birdlife. Pica-pau-preto, chapim-montês, Chapim-preto, Chapim-de-poupa, Dom-fafe, Tordeia and Estrelinha-de-poupa can be observed here. There is also a good chance of seeing a Corvo over the forest.

The Fuelbecker Talsperre is easily accessed along a circular path, with a car park nearby. Click on the P in the map for directions to the parking. The road up to the reservoir is quite steep and narrow, so watch out for oncoming traffic.
