The Freisinger Moos nature reserve consists of extensive grassland, moor grass meadows and other wetlands and bushes, reed beds and sedge marshes. The Freisinger Moos forms the link between the Erdinger Moos in the east and the Dachauer Moos in the west. The Moosach is the largest river in the Freisinger Moos and forms the main connecting axis to other wetlands.
The Maçarico-real breeds in the area. Meadow breeders such as Abibe-comum and Laverca can be seen. Sometimes Codornizão can be heard. Other birds you can observe are Cegonha-branca, Papa-amoras-comum, papa-amoras-cinzento, Picanço-de-dorso-ruivo, Papa-figos, Cuco-canoro and Escrevedeira-amarela.
