Descrição
In the north-eastern part of the Brandstadl gravel pit, a path leads around a U-shaped body of water. There you can see Mergulhão-de-crista, Galeirão-comum , Guarda-rios-comum, Rouxinol-grande-dos-caniços, rouxinol-dos-caniços and Escrevedeira-dos-caniços. A little further south, Borrelho-pequeno-de-coleira breeds on the bare gravel areas. Further west, there is an artificial breeding wall for Andorinha-das-barreiras. The path leading there continues through the alluvial forest, where you can observe some typical birds such as Pica-pau-preto and Papa-figos.

The Brandstadl gravel pit is a one-kilometer walk from Hallbergmoos train station, where S-Bahn line 1 stops every 20 minutes. You can also park at the train station. Click on the P in the map for directions. Within the area, there are mainly small footpaths.
