Descrição
Böhmerweiher consists of two lakes. The smaller lake supports Mergulhão-pequeno, Galinha-d'água and Galeirão-comum. Marrequinha-comum overwinter here. The larger lake often attracts visiting waterfowl in the winter: Ganso-comum, Frisada, Mergulhão-de-crista, more rarely Piadeira, Pato-branco or Merganso-grande. Guarda-rios-comum fish in both ponds.
In the gravel areas and streams surrounding the lakes Escrevedeira-amarela and Felosa-musical sing from the bushes. Pica-pau-verde feed on the ants. Frango-d'água skulks on the banks. rouxinol-dos-caniços and Escrevedeira-dos-caniços populate the reeds in the spring and summer. Occasional visitors like the Poupa can surprise you by stopping to rest during their migration.
Narceja-comum sometimes forage in the wet fields surrounding Böhmerweiher. And sometimes falcão-peregrino hunt for prey.
