Biotop Unterm Nippchen and Karl-Rembser-Biotop are about 9 hectares in total. There are currently 14 ponds of different sizes (water surface approx. 100-1,800 m²). Among the birds you can encounter in the area are Galinha-d'água, Pássaro-bique-bique, Guarda-rios-comum, Borrelho-pequeno-de-coleira, Alvéola-cinzenta and Maçarico-bastardo.

In Niederselters, leave Dauborner Straße in the direction of the Niederselters Kläranlage (sewage treatment plant). There are a few parking spaces immediately after the turn. From here it is about a 10-minute walk to the biotopes.
