Abtskücher Teich is a lake with surrounding bushes. The pond and stream provide a good environment for various waterfowl and water-loving birds. You can see Guarda-rios-comum, Corvo-marinho-de-faces-brancas, Garça-real, Cisne-vulgar, Pica-pau-malhado-grande, Pato-real and Galeirão-comum. Also Nutrias live here. In the surrounding fields, you can also see Estrelinha-de-cabeça-listada, Estrelinha-de-poupa, Pardal-comum, Açor and Águia-d'asa-redonda.

The Abtskücher Teich is located 3 km west of the town of Velbert. Parking lots are nearby. Press P on the map for directions to a parking. There is a footpath around the pond (about 1 km).
