Lake Lisi is a small, reed-fringed lake that is easily accessible from Tbilisi by public transport. The lake has many species typical for the region. Booming Abetouro-comum, and one of the few spots in the country where Felosa-agrícola breed regularly.

Acesso
Lake Lisi can be easily accessed by car or taxi from Tbilisi. There is a recreational area with a restaurant at the south side of the lake, so the area is well-known. A circular trail around the lake is possible, but the section along the northern half of the lake is most interesting for birding.

Update April 2021: Since my last visit there has been a lot of development. The former path around the lake is now fully paved and the number of restaurants etc. has increased considerably. However, the reedbed hasn't been touched. On a sunday with fine weather the place was very crowded, so better not to go on a weekend. Or start early (before 10 AM).
