Descrição
Batumi Boulevard Park can be surprisingly good for birdwatching. Especially on rainy days during the migration season, many migrants come down. The park, especially its north end, often teems with passerines, which are easy to find and observe. Papa-moscas-pequeno can be abundant, and Rouxinol-russo give very good views. Torcicolo, Rabirruivo-de-testa-branca, Mountain Chiffchaff (Caucasian), Felosa-brilhante, Toutinegra-de-barrette-preto, Felosa-das-figueiras, papa-amoras-cinzento, Papa-amoras-comum and Papa-moscas-cinzento are often numerous, and occasionally something rare turns up. Check the branches of the pines for sleeping Noitibó da Europa and Mocho-d'orelhas.
Going further north, there was a good grassy area near the Ferris wheel, but most of this area is now fenced. This was a really good spot for all sorts of migrants, but still worth checking the areas outside the fence in early morning even if you only have an hour or so. Birds that have been spotted here include Codorniz, Rola-comum, Sombria, Escrevedeira-de-cabeça-preta, Toutinegra-gavião, Pisco-de-peito-azul, Rouxinol-grande-dos-caniços, Felosa-unicolor, Petinha-de-garganta-ruiva, Picanço-pequeno and Picanço-de-dorso-ruivo.
