Roche de Vergisson is a dry grassy area bordered by a cliff and a vineyard. Its ornithological interest comes from southern species that can be found here such as Toutinegra-de-cabeça-preta, Noitibó da Europa and Águia-cobreira. In winter, there are rare wintering species for the region such as Trepadeira-dos-muros, Ferreirinha-alpina or even below the cliff in the vineyard Cia which is itself certainly nesting somewhere on the site.

Français: La roche de Vergisson fait partie du grand site de France Solutré Pouilly Vergisson, célèbre pour son site archéologique exceptionnel de l'époque Solutreen. La roche de Vergisson est une pelouse sèche bordée par une falaise et le vignoble. Son intérêt ornithologique provient d'espèce méridionnal comme la Toutinegra-de-cabeça-preta l' Noitibó da Europa ou encore le Águia-cobreira. L'hiver ont y retrouve des espèces hivernantes rares pour la région comme le Trepadeira-dos-muros, l' Ferreirinha-alpina ou encore en contrebas de la falaise dans le vignoble le Cia qui est lui même certainement nicheur quelque part sur le site.

Acesso
You can access the area by the car park which is located to the east of the site. Click on the P in the map for directions to the car park. You can then climb the rock by the dirt road which goes up directly from the car park, or take the road on foot which passes under the rock and then take the first path on the right walk another 200m and take the first path on the right which is quite steep but climbs quickly on the rock.

Français: On accède à la roche par le parking qui se situe à l'Est du site (Cliquez sur le P sur la carte pour accéder au parking) on peut ensuite monter sur la roche par le chemin en terre qui monte directement depuis le parking, ou bien prendre la route à pied qui passe sous la roche puis prendre le premier chemin à droite marcher encore 200m et prendre le premier sentier à droite qui est assez raide mais monte rapidement sur la roche.

The site car park is equipped with toilets. Bar and restaurant available in the village of Vergisson. Opportunity to visit the museum of prehistory at the rock of solutré but also to buy local products and eat at the house of the large site 5 km away.
