Plan d'eau de la Ville Saint Jacques holds a colony of Guincho-comum and Gaivota-de-cabeça-preta. Pato-de-bico-vermelho are usually very numerous and breed here, as do Zarro-negrinha. Flocks of Zarro-comum and Zarro-negrinha may attract the rare Zarro-castanho. Mergulhão-de-pescoço-preto are very regular. Waders make regularly stopovers on the lakes shores. Even Perna-verde-fino has been seen here.

Easy accessible by car. After parking you can explore the area on foot. Park at the start of the path on the western part of the lake, and follow it on it's southern shore. It is quite dangerous to park elsewhere along the D606. Click on the P in the map to get directions to the parking.
