In Marais Alcalin de Chicheboville-Bellengreville around a hundred species of birds have been recorded. Breeding birds include Guarda-rios-comum, Felosa-dos-juncos, Escrevedeira-dos-caniços, Tartaranhão-ruivo-dos-pauis and Frango-d'água. As a migratory stopover, Águia-pesqueira and Abetouro-comum are noted. In the woodlands Pica-pau-malhado-pequeno and Papa-figos are regularly observed.

Français: Marais Alcalin de Chicheboville-Bellengreville couvre une superficie de 154 ha avec en son centre une tourbière alcaline : habitats forestiers, roselière, bas-marais, prairies et étangs. Une centaine d'espèces d'oiseaux a été inventoriée. Parmi les nicheurs, on peut citer le Guarda-rios-comum, Felosa-dos-juncos, Escrevedeira-dos-caniços, Tartaranhão-ruivo-dos-pauis, Frango-d'água. En halte migratoire, le Águia-pesqueira et le Abetouro-comum sont notés. Dans les boisements, le Pica-pau-malhado-pequeno et le Papa-figos sont régulièrement contactés.

Park in the hamlet of Chicheboville (parking lot of the old town hall) and follow the Tethys path which will take you into the marsh. Click on the P in the map for directions to the parking. The walking route indicated on the map is about 4 km.
