Les Orpellières is a very varied area. In a few hours you can walk from a river area, to a rough dry agricultural area, to a dune area and to the sea. Many species of birds can be seen, such as Petinha-dos-campos, Flamingo-comum and Poupa, but also many species of gulls, including rare species such as Gaivota-de-bico-fino. Cuco-rabilongo can also be seen here regularly.

Les Orpellières is located directly east of Valras-Plage, but on the other side of the river Orb. Parking in the vicinity of 'Yelloh la Serignan plage' or in the area itself. Press P on the map for directions to a parking spot. The circular walking route indicated on the map is about 5,5 km. Take enough water with you as it can be very hot.
